We understand how it feels to be drained by spine pain.

You may feel frustrated, anxious, or worried that you may no longer participate in the activities you’ve always enjoyed. We can help.

Vertebral Compression Fractures (VCF) of the spine, which can be painful and limit spine mobility, are commonly caused by osteoporosis, spinal tumors, or traumatic injury. Traditional treatments of bed rest, pain medication, and braces are slow to relieve the pain. Vertebral Augmentation is a process of injecting bone cement into the fractured bone and restoring the vertebra height, offering patients faster recovery and reduced risk of future fractures in the treated bone.

Vertebral Augmentation like Vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty may be a treatment option if you have painful vertebral compression fractures from:

  • Osteoporosis (a depletion of calcium in bones)
  • Cancer or tumors
  • Traumatic Injury

Are you frustrated by spine pain?

Complete the form below and we’ll contact you asap to help answer questions and help you set up an evaluation.

Vertebral Augmentation is typically an outpatient procedure that usually requires only sedation and local anesthesia, and a small incision to access the vertebra. The entire procedure typically takes just 30 to 40 minutes to complete. After the vertebra is accessed, a small, specifically designed instrument is used to create small spaces within the vertebra. The bone cement is delivered slowly, allowing it to fill the small spaces and penetrate into the vertebra. The bone cement hardens within minutes, effectively immobilizing the fracture and reinforcing the bone.

A small band-aid is placed over the incision following your treatment. You’ll then spend some time in the recovery room, after which time you will be able to return home. As you begin your recovery, you can expect to feel rapid and lasting back pain relief. Soon you should be able to return to your normal daily activities and experience a renewed and improved quality of life.
